Lavender, cigar box, red cherry on the nose. Baking spice over light tannin and round mouthfeel. Medium-light bodied, low-astringency. Quick and smooth finish.
Hand sorted before crushed and de-stemmed. Fermented in heat with punchdowns twice daily, aged 28 months in neutral oak. 2020’s Cabernet Sauvignon of vineyard Obsidian has seen an unexpected increase in complexity in aging; particularly over the palate, where typical tannic descriptors of Cabernet give way to an earthy and elegant mouthfeel. Bottle age 5-7 years.
